Using our experience and knowledge of sailing a Westerly Storm 33 ourselves, we were able to estimate costs for this job without visiting the boat, the final cost coming within 5% of the estimate.
Work Done
Two weeks after having the quote accepted, we had manufactured a “like for like” replacement of all the standing rigging.
With the mast stepped, we then removed the old Furlex, and installed a wonderful new ProFurl furling system.
The rigging was tuned using settings obtained from the excellent “Westerly Owners Forum” using our Professional Loos rig tension gauge.
The sail was bent on and furling gear tested.
The finishing touch was replacing the stained and shabby guard rails with safe, strong, shiny new ones.
